About Us

Ae Ri Sakhi is a sustainable jewellery brand run by us, a mother-daughter duo Hema & Jayati. This small business is a child born in the second wave of pandemic while we were sitting at home and trying to find a greater purpose of life.

We found great potential in a small scrap of fabric that ideally goes to bin once the whole outfit is tailored and isn't even disposed properly that it ends up in a landfill contributing to fast fashion. In order to fix this, we collect scraps from local boutiques and tailors and extend the life of that small piece of fabric by upcycling it into a beautiful and handcrafted jewellery piece that is absolutely unique and one of its kind.

Not just this but another great motive behind bringing this brainchild into existence was building a community around women from different walks of life. We wanted to provide employment to young girls who are unprivileged but have an appetite to stand on their own feet and do something in their life despite the lack of resources. We have employed more than 10 girls in the past three years and watched their life take shape as they hand craft these pieces which then find space in your jewellery wardrobe.
